He said in a statement that his movement wanted the Iraqi people to stop the bloodshed and maintain the nation's independence and stability. BAGHDAD, Iraq — The Iraqi government has welcomed an order by Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr to pull his fighters off the streets. Government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh told FOX News that the decision is "positive and responsive." Al-Dabbagh said the move would "help the government confront those who are violating the law" and that it would help to "isolate those who are trying to destroy the government effort". He said Iraqi security operations in Basra would not end until the "criminal elements" operating there are removed. Also praising al-Sadr's orders was Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who said it was "a step in the right direction." Al-Sadr ordered those loyal to him and his Mahdi Army Sunday off the streets in Basra and cities across Iraq, saying that whoever carries arms against Iraqi forces is not one of his followers. I was not able to spend much time on the Blog today ,as I had to drive 25 miles into the VA hospital for a blood test.I had a feeling this trip would not go right cause as I drove out my 3/8 of a mile driveway. I noticed a pack of people around my mailbox and they were carrying signs and milling around at the end of the drive way.You can appreciate my relief when I read the signs and they were just Hate Bush and America Sucks protesters.I thought they were stalking me.As I pulled out I noticed two police cars were following me into town.I drove in absolute fear wondering if they were going to pull me over because of the 4'X8" sign on the back of my car.It reads save a job and send Illegals aliens back to place of birth.Another false alarm as the police turned in to the donut shop at west fork.Going Thur town I noticed that the red lights were all green and I did not have to stop for any of the eight I go Thur to reach the VA.This struck me as Odd and I started looking around for something that has to be wrong and the only thing I could see was that my car needs cleaning inside and out(come on spring time).I don't want to get fined for littering ,so I chunk all trash(Reece's Peanut butter cup wrappers)in back seat and noticed that seeing out back window was not easy. Ahhhh at last I arrived at the VA hospital and as I drove in the Snipers were shooting at me and instead of stopping to talk to the poor soles who have to go out side to smoke in wheel chairs and on crutches I was excreted inside by VA police and and checked in under an assumed name so as to prevent the paparazzi from finding me.I went and the tect drew blood from my arm and she reassured me I would not get HIV from the needle no matter what preacher Wright said.I exited out back door and noticed it was not locked and wondered if terrorists could get in and blow us all up.Need to send an Email to congressman about why are the doors wide open at the VA???I went another route home and had to stop for school bus on the way.As I set there I wondered if any of the school shooters were on bus or the ones that kick homeless to death and when it left I got out from under the bush I was hiding under and got back in car and went on home .I noticed that I had a letter laying on the dash and At the mail box I spent 30 mins trying to figger out if I needed to mail it or I had just got it out of the box.I mailed it and got the mail out and rushed down the drive and arrived at last at the safety of home. Good news Heavy fighting has been raging in Basra as thousands of Iraqi troops battle Shia militias in the southern city. At least 12 people have died in the operation, which is being overseen in Basra by Iraqi PM Nouri Maliki, a day after he vowed to "re-impose law". The BBC's Adam Brookes says three Iraqi army brigades were deployed from Baghdad to Basra as back-up for the offensive, and that up to 15,000 troops could be involved. Some of the fiercest fighting in the operation - dubbed Saulat al-Fursan (Charge of the Knights) - has focused on Mehdi Army strongholds. Of the suspected militants known to have been killed so far, four died in street fighting and five in a coalition air strike. British military spokesman Maj Tom Holloway told the BBC no UK troops were involved on the ground. It’s simply not possible that he could be an active member in the church without hearing something about sermons in which the pastor blamed 9/11 on America’s past sins, or called down curses repeatedly ("God D---n America!") on his own nation. I’ve been involved in synagogue life for more than thirty years, in three different congregations in two different communities. If any of the rabbis who served those congregations ever delivered sermons that were even vaguely controversial, I would have heard about it without question (even on those occasions where I wasn’t present to hear the talk myself). Given the number and intensity of wildly offensive Wright sermons, it’s ridiculous to argue that the first Obama learned of the anti-American Vent of his self-described "mentor" was last week in news reports.
